Sunday Worship Services

On Sundays, Worship starts out with the ending of Sunday School. we sing a song, then we talk about events in the church and community. We announce prayer concerns and joys in the day to day lives ( at free will ). After that we close Sunday School with The Lords Prayer. After this we light the candles at the alter. After this we sing our first hymn. Next we take a moment and greet each other. Soon after this we read our responsive reading. Next come our 2nd hymn. After this we make time for any special music that some one would like to sing. Next after this is the scripture lessons, one from one of the Gospel ( such as Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John), and one from thee Epistle ( such as Romans, Acts, Hebrews, etc.) After this Pastor Jim Invites the Children and Youth for Children's time. Next Jim delivers his sermon. Following this is the free will offering. Soon after we rise to sing the doxology while the ushers  take the collection plates back to set on the alter. We stay standing and sing the final hymn. after this the candles are extinguished and Sunday worship ends until next week

Sunday School

Cathy (Pre-School- 1st)

I have taught pre-school and kindergarten children for approximately 28 years.  That's when my oldest daughter started.  This class is

the backbone for children--it introduces them to Jesus.  We color and do puzzles and action games.  We sing songs and we learn all the

great stories about Jesus!

Sharon (2nd- 5th)

The upper elementary Sunday School class taught by Sharon Lowenberg has a flexible "age group classification" for the elementary

Sunday School classes--Sharon has the 2nd-5th graders.  The

presentation of the lesson and the materials used depends on the ages of the children in attendance, but the content always includes a

Bible lesson from either the Old or New Testament and an activity.  One of the students' favorites is a Bible Jeopardy we have

developed from previous lessons--or another game or activity to reinforce the current lesson.  We always try to apply the Biblical truth

in each lesson to everyday life.

Phyllis (6th- 9th)

6th-9th graders meet in the sanctuary for Sunday school. Their individual lesson material is "The Rock''. Each lesson is designed especially for middle school students. Scriptures is designed for each message. lessons are read and discussions envolve.

Elaine (10th- adult)

The Adult Sunday School class welcomes all adults who desire to know the bible. Our lessons focus on a book of the bible which we connect back to the issues in or lives in the 21 century. We support one another with prayer and encouragement as we strive to live christian lives as a community of believers.

Fern (seniors)

The class was originally the Senior Citizens class of the church. However  today we have a variety of ages, and that makes for interesting discussions. Our lesson Guides is from David C. Cook. these lessons make clear of the relationship between good and his word and our daily lives. We welcome all to our study group.
